Over the past 10 years, the Sustainable University Day (SUD) has become a key networking event for stakeholders from Swiss higher education institutions working to strengthen the culture of sustainability in their organizations. This event brings together students, teachers, researchers, university staff and anyone interested in promoting sustainability in Swiss educational landscape.

On September 1st 2026, the SUD will take place in the Kulturpark Zurich hosted in collaboration with the Zurich Knowledge Center for Sustainable Development (ZKSD). In the morning, the focus will be on Sustainability Network of swissuniversities and its thematic working groups tackling topics such as sustainable business travel, green labs, climate neutrality, and reporting. In the afternoon, there will be a kick-off event for transfer and cooperation projects between universities and practice partners for sustainability transformation, organized by One Planet Lab and WWF Switzerland.
