Taking a plural economics perspective, this webinar explores how
heterodox perspectives can expand teaching and research beyond current
boundaries. What can the dominant economic teaching paradigm contribute to addressing key contemporary challenges, such as climate policy, and what can alternative, broader approaches offer?

Katy Shields (Founder and Course Director of the Regenerative Economy
Lab; Co-Creator of the documentary series Tipping Point: The True Story
of The Limits to Growth) will open the discussion with her insights into
regenerative approaches and critical economic thinking.

Prof. Dr. Anthony Patt (Professor of Climate Policy and Head of the
Climate Policy Lab at ETH Zurich; IPCC Coordinating Lead Author) will
discuss the policy relevance of economic paradigms. Drawing on his work
at the science-policy interface, he will outline his perspective on
plural economics and how he integrates heterodox approaches into his
teaching and advice on climate policy.

The presentations will be followed by an interactive closing discussion
with the audience.
