New study guide
on sustainability
31.03.2026
In order to tackle pressing global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, resource scarcity and social inequality, and to drive forward the transition to a sustainable society and economy, we need well-trained specialists and managers with sound expertise and strong practical skills. A sustainability-oriented degree programme provides the necessary understanding of complex ecological, social and economic interrelationships in order to develop sustainable solutions.
In recent years, Swiss universities have established a large number of (inter)disciplinary degree programmes with a focus on sustainability. However, this diversity has made it increasingly difficult to maintain an overview.
The WWF study guide addresses this issue by offering a carefully curated selection of sustainability-oriented bachelor's, master's and continuing education programmes and helping prospective students find a suitable degree programme.
The following topics will be presented:
• Presentation of the new study guide
• What interests prospective students? (Input from a study advisor)
• Questions and discussion
